As expected, Jeanne is all sorts of beautiful. If I hadn't a "one figure per character" rule, I'd probably have preordered her to go along with her dark alter ego by Aniplex.

Archades (4 giorno/i fa) #22456497Yes, of course the box should not be so damaged.
The problem is the difference in price between the standard and the express, for only a few days of delay in the delivery. I've made a shipping calculation on a figure that I am planning to buy, but they were respectively 1800 yen and over 5000.

Yes i found that out the hard way as it was 30 euros more in shipping but the reason for the much higher price is the size and weight of this figure

I pre ordered this figure item #549592 with the express shipping because it was only 13,5 euros more expensive and if it means not having to deal with colissimo its worth it for me

Reason for the lower express shipping cost for that one is the much smaller size and weight of that figure

As i said with smaller figures i am going to use the express shipping from now on but for big figures like this one i will not as its too expensive like you said

shilka (4 giorno/i fa) #22447748The figures where okey but the boxes where trashed and if i ever want to sell those two figures i will probably be forced to lower my price a bit because of it
Dont know dpd either but if they are Swiss they cant be that bad, i think Colissimo is french
Either way i am going to use the express shipping option on smaller figures from now on as i dont want to deal with Colissimo if i can avoid it
The express option was too expensive on this figure and was 30 euros more then the standard shipping option.

Archades (4 giorno/i fa) #22447045Such a poor condition.. The figures were ok?
For standard shipping in Italy they use dpd.. which I never heard before, seems Swiss.

shilka (4 giorno/i fa) #22437195The only downside to using standard transi-logistic is Colissimo is the carrier in many EU countries and Colissimo does not have the best track record
I had two figure boxes in a row squashed like the delivery guy/women junmped on it or something
You can see the damaged boxes here

Complained about it to both NY and Colissimo and NY said they would take it up with Colissimo but i have not heard anything since
They seem to have gotten a little bit better as i have not gotten any squashed boxes since then and there is more wrapping plastic around the box(es) now
What i am trying to say is keep your expectations low when dealing with Colissimo
If you use express transi-logistic instead of standard transi-logistic the carrier changes to either DHL UPS or Chronopost depning on the EU country
Info on which carrier for which country can be found here

shilka (5 giorno/i fa) #22427941They ship to their partner in France which means you pay french VAT which is 21%
The 21% VAT is included in the price when you use transi-logistic so its already paid and you dont need to pay anything extra like import fees and taxes
The claim that you dont pay VAT is a bit misleading as you do need to pay VAT in the EU you just dont need to deal with it yourself
I live in Denmark and our VAT is 25% here so i save 4% alone in VAT and i also save all those pesky annoying fees as well as inport tax i also need to pay
Buying from NY and using transi-logistic is so much cheaper then using any local shops

This is very clarifying, thanks! I didn't know this shipping method before today, I think this will be my default method from now on
