Anyone else playing Akiba Catcher?

MoribundeadMoribundead6 giorno/i faAsk MFC
I found out about it through a news article on TOM (Tokyo Otaku Mode) and am trying my luck for several weeks now.

netch-jpn.com/l...

It's basically a claw machine you control over the internet.
The prizes are real and will be shipped to you free of charge when you manage to get something. You will be given access to more prizes as you "raise your skill level" winning prizes.

The problem?
As you may know, it's really hard to win playing a Catcher unless you have a good technique. So don't expect to win something every try.

The good side?
-You're given the opportunity to win items which are (I think) limited to claw machines in Japan.
-If you log in with your TOM account, you'll be granted a free play every week; if you are TOM PREMIUM member, you'll get one every day! (the reason I became premium member in the first place) (you may buy extra tries with real money or TOM points)

Well, what I'd like to know is, did you win anything yet?

I, myself, didn't and I don't really care since the prizes aren't that appealing to me. It's fun playing though. (I'm glad I'm not spending real money on more tries)

All in all, I think it's neat (for fans of more popular series) and a great chance to try Catchers when you're not given the opportunity to visit Japan. :)

Have tried playing akiba catcher previously just for the fun of it and gotten an adorable madoka figure off there by luck.

For online catcher websites, it mainly depends on your internet connection speed (mine does lag quite a bit, unsure whether it is due to the website's interface or my bad connection) and also skills/techniques/luck (I have close to none) :/

Customer service wise for akiba catcher is pretty alright, and they stuff a lot of additional paper to protect the item during shipping.

For the items on the website, I believe toreba has far more latest updated items (and also much more to choose from) compared to akiba catcher!

I play toreba. I was thinking of playing Akiba, but I've heard a lot of negative feedback regarding it. ):

My question.. Can I Only get NP's from buying them? Or do I get some every day?

Just tried it... had points enough for two goes.

Waayyyyy too f'ing laggy. That was not fun at all. (And it's not my internet...).

I've tried but I play on my phone so the claw is delayed and I either let go too quick or too late on the first move! Though I'm always in line for the backward movement. Darn you crappy Wi-Fi!

I've tried a few times, but it's so damn laggy that I can't get even close to catching something. Not that it matters, since they won't ship to South America...

I didn't even touch the prize. My internet is too laggy xD
It's much more fun at a real arcade.
