Well for the first time in a few years I'm back to doing some Trading with a friend of mine that I've traded of entire collections of figures to years ago and this has me wondering how many of you do Trades with other collectors.

Considering how many Action Figures I've had over the years Trading at times was the best way to get rid of a lot of unwanted figures and usually ended up with getting some great stuff in Trade and that saved a lot of money and time searching for those items.

This current Trade should end up increasing my Mobile Suit Gundam collection by at least another large assortment of Mobile Suits and the collection that I'm getting rid of for that is the Star Wars Black Series figures since I have lost all interest in those and they just take up space so good thing that is going to get out of here by the end of the month.

-Been loosing interest in having a lot of action figures, I'd prefer to have more Models instead these days.

What about you folks?

In an ideal world, I'd love to try trading with other collectors, but as someone mentioned here, I think the risk is too high to do online, and finding things of equal value to trade can also be a headache.

I'd rather stick with buying and selling, though I have yet to do the latter.

I only trade online flat stuff like trading cards and stickers and they have to cost the same or less than what you pay for 2 combos meals at a fast food restaurant.

Dialga1 mese/i fa#80031856View spoilerHide spoilerI used to trade my littlest pet shop online as a kid, most of the trades went smoothly but one time I was scammed (the person who owned the account pretended that her little sister sometimes uses it and she had no idea what trade I was talking about, and blocked me) so that kind of put me off trading with people. At least littlest pet shop were relatively cheap so not much was lost, but I wouldn't dare risk the chance of getting scammed out of a very expensive figure..
If i could trade with people I know irl then I probably would, but I don't know anyone who collects who is interested in trading, and even if they were, we always seem to have very different tastes in figures lol
My apologies for being off topic. Just came here to reply that your comment made me nostalgic! Littlest Pet Shop were the main toys I collected back in the day. It was my huge obsession. Every birthday and Christmas, my present was LPS. My best memories were playing with my LPS toys while I played a song in the background, pretending I was making a music video. Overall, thank you for taking me down to memory lane!

I've done it once, and it honestly was great. I'd do it again if offered and I trusted the person, but for the most part, I do prefer just the money, because not everyone is as awesome/honest as the person I traded with, and there is no guarantee I'd actually get anything.

Jenthehen1 mese/i fa#80055082I have before, but it actually seems kind of rare to find someone who wants to trade something you want for something they want that are both of about equal value.exactly that’s why I don’t want to trade I would rather money instead to be honest

Limited exchanges with my brother, but that's about it

I've tried offering trades a few times but they never went through. But it is probably for the best. In the event I get scammed, there is no means for receiving compensation unless the person you are trading with has integrity.

Almost impossible as the trading values of item are very different for both parties and it is much faster to sell what i don't want and get the money to buy what i interested

I only do buy-sell transactions, never trading. Mainly because it is near impossible to see a figure I want and having the owner simultaneously also want a figure I am trying to get rid of.
