Edit: I've put in my cancellation request on Ami. I hope anyone who loves her is able to get my slot. Tysm for the advice ^^
I have a bit of a problem ;; I pre ordered ITEM #1465677 When I placed my orded for her, I was completely in love with her sculpt and her expression.
It's been a little while now and I'm kinda half in love with her. I think she's still amazing but I'm not as excited for her. Added along with the fact I haven't read/watched I know a sin to some collectors so I don't have an emotional attachment either. Part of me wants to cancel her and use the money for something I wholeheartedly love.
But then a part of me still really loves her and with how the collecting market is right now. I'd hate to cancel her, then regret it and have to deal with the after market prices for her ;A;
If I get her and decide "yep she's not for me" at least I can sell her off without any regret but ahhh I don't know. When I think about her I want to cancel but when I look at her I kinda want to keep. Another factor is I'm trying to be better about collecting things I really want to avoid dealing with selling later Σ(°△°|||)︴Pain

That’s good to know, I’m actually glad they’ve become more forgiving with cancellations - I understand it being bad business to have people cancel constantly, but the dread that a single cancellation request could have your whole account banned without real warning is a lot lmao
99% resolved to cancel her at this point though - and I’ve heard they’re a bit more forgiving to frequent buyers, so hopefully everything goes well when I finally build up the courage to cancel :’)
Ami has become a lot more nice with cancelation. I had a good purge of POs a few weeks back and they were fine with it. Their email really just say "please only place order for item you intend to pay for" and like a generic please be careful with cancelation; but nothing too serious. But at long as you do it before an invoice, you should be perfectly fine. ^^
I’ve heard they’ve become a bit more lenient, I think I’m mostly just paranoid abt losing my POs lol

The figure itself looks fine, but I’m just not super interested in it anymore and have been second guessing for months. Now, with most of my POs being pushed back to September right before she’s meant to release, I’m feeling more and more inclined to cancel. I’ve already made two cancellations this year, so I’m worried if I try to opt out of this one my account will get banned, which is just making me even more apprehensive and in turn miserable about this figure :(
With regards to AmiAmi cancellations, they have become much more lenient with cancellations since covid. As long as you cancel before you get the invoice when the figure releases, you should most likely be good cancelling. :) This year, for lots of reasons, I've had to cancel at least 5 orders and my account is fine (probably on thin ice after moving tons of pre-orders away from AmiAmi last year though, haha)

Omg that Aqua so pretty :0 If she checks off your moe list then Idk think she'd be worth it. Hololive girls are super popular so if you decide you don't want her anymore you could sell your PO. But I had the same thing with ITEM #1129241 I didn't PO bc price and because I'm a super casual Korone fan but she's so cute;;
1: you'll like the character and you'll be excited again for the figure.
2: or you'll hate her and the source material and you'll be set on cancelling lol
Imo the manga is great and you don't need a ton to get a feel for the characters. A few chapters are enough maybe 30 minutes of reading
I usually only collect for series I know and really enjoy. But I thought she was really nice looking so I was willing to look past not knowing her. But the more I thought would she fit with the rest of my collection since she's just some random girl to me www
