Re2200 Italia-san Mecha Musume by ToranoanaRe2200 Italia-san Mecha Musume by ToranoanaReview

MaakieMaakie7 anno/i fa
! This review is from a character in a tight swimsuit (and optional panties). For some people this can be seen as NSFW !

Welcome to my review of Re2200 Italia-San from the Mecha Musume-series ITEM #4715 ! Before starting with this review, I will explain what Mecha Musume is and who Re2200 Italia-san is.

Background

Mecha Musume is a variant of Moe Anthropomorphism (also known as Moe Gijinka). This means a character is dressed up (cosplayed) or combined with an inanimate object, an animal or a certain occupation for example. The most well known Moe Anthropomorphism is Kemonomimi, the combination of characters with animal ears and tails. Mecha Musume is the combination of characters combined with military hardware, the most well known versions are combinations with planes, tanks, guns and ships.

Re2200 is a reference to Italian warplanes. The model did not really exist, but is quite likely based of a Re.2005 Sagittario plane:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1978201/re2005.jpg

The character Re2200 Italia-san is an combination of Mecha Musume (Italian warplane) and Kemonomimi (cat).

Original art

The figure of Re2200 Italia-san was designed of an original illustration of Humikane Shimada (also known as Fumikane Shimada):

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1978201/re2200.jpg

Humikane Shimada is seen by many as the pioneer in Mecha Musume designs. Not because he was the first one, but because he made Mecha Musume overall more known and more accepted by the general public. He is most known as the character designer for Strike Witches, but has worked for many other anime and manga series, such as Girls und Panzer, Busou Shinki and Sky Girls. He also publishes his own artbooks and doujinshi.

Small Note

I really love in the original art that it looks like she came running out of the water to pose with her plane. :)

During the review I will call her Italia-san.

The Box

Let's start with the real review! Onto the...box!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-FPppy9aLV7M/UW6T38NPaTI/AAAAAAAACio/ddScoLdMCmU/s640/IMG_7658.JPG
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-VDjBLpgwvQA/UW6T5Rh2opI/AAAAAAAACiw/lmwLSOwK8g4/s640/IMG_7659.JPG
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-xIXHI00n_8Q/UW6T3zo8AvI/AAAAAAAACik/vhUzU1RZ9q8/s640/IMG_7660.JPG
https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-nf-yKgx3_7Q/UW6T8ecOy9I/AAAAAAAACi4/7qX3LkiWCb8/s640/IMG_7661.JPG

A nice box, showing art of Humikane Shimada and photographs of the figure inside. It's a bit of a downside you can't see the figure immideatly, but...

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-tXztEHV0v3E/UW6T9ePokBI/AAAAAAAACjE/-cSJ4byi1nY/s800/IMG_7662.JPG

...the front can be opened revealing this!

And I got a surprise! I knew that Italia-san came with an extra possibility of her wearing shimapan (striped panties) instead of a sukumizu (traditional Japanese swimsuit), but I did not expect her to have a complete extra lower body!

Extra - Artbook

Italia-san came with a small artbook (some of the pictures have been cut off, rightclick to get view them in their own screen).

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-F_29W8W-N1M/UW6T-ILm8oI/AAAAAAAACjM/_SGIxVvh64M/s800/IMG_7663.JPG

The front shows the original drawing of Humikane Shimada and a beautiful sky.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_2CWOCKdvFY/UW6T-nxR4tI/AAAAAAAACjQ/6v5R-HqzWL0/s1440/IMG_7664.JPG

Here we see Italia-san playing in the water with her plane. We also see the fictional dates in which the Re2200 have been used. (The Re.2005 she was probably based off had been used from 1942-1944.)

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_0BuAT5VHys/UW6UBsYZS-I/AAAAAAAACq0/qDVGQsS7edo/s1440/IMG_7666.JPG

I don't speak much Italian, but I think this page roughly translates to: "Second Worldwide War". The picture shows what could have probably been flight routes during this war.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-yFBF9C_OLZ4/UW6UBTywmzI/AAAAAAAACrA/KXmoR3wsF9c/s1440/IMG_7667.JPG

Two more pages, showing more battle-maps. Unfortunately, I can't read Japanese.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-tEmsZ-kcfnI/UW6UCCKy-OI/AAAAAAAACrE/DZ-olky05yo/s1440/IMG_7668.JPG

And here we have some cute artwork of our own Italia-san! She is adorable and innocently playing with her plane in the water.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-S2CZXafgaEE/UW6UDB8iHAI/AAAAAAAACj8/N-nYXKrmWK8/s800/IMG_7669.JPG

The detailing on this drawing is amazing! Especially the effects in the water.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-vgoRPNLj3vI/UW6UEN0eFKI/AAAAAAAACj0/6cx73HkVyYQ/s1440/IMG_7670.JPG

The Ba75 was an existing plane and was a two-seater meant for ground attacks. Only a prototype was made and this plane never went into production.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-hugZjgqwxxU/UW6UEgDYFoI/AAAAAAAACkA/DZCCiumpl7o/s800/IMG_7671.JPG

The drawing shows indeed two girls trying to sit inside/on the plane. The girl on the right immideatly reminded me of Lynette Bishop ENCYCLOPEDIA #2035 one of Humikane's characters for Strike Witches.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-CCJJ8aw72Qo/UW6UGeByL_I/AAAAAAAACrI/H18hxAkreOo/s1440/IMG_7672.JPG

The E15K was also an existing plane. Used by the Japanese and well known for being a good "floatplane".

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Z3d1J5R9c94/UW6UGZ6QPuI/AAAAAAAACkM/Xu5OvHdiLRo/s640/IMG_7673.JPG

The character is wearing traditional Japanese underwear and you can indeed see her float on the water with the plane!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-pilsUckVBW4/UW6UHPe094I/AAAAAAAACrM/d-NgX4hhksM/s1440/IMG_7674.JPG

The book ends with a beautiful picture of the sky.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-7Curdr2kwXw/UW6ULNN5JAI/AAAAAAAACkw/_nwyVYckvpE/s800/IMG_7675.JPG

The backside of the book shows an Italian logo and the text "Regia Aeronautica" which roughly translates to: "Royal Air Force".

First Look

And now, for a first look of her outside the box!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-_qW1f-d4xUY/UW6UKTm6vzI/AAAAAAAACko/KVgctpLe7t4/s640/IMG_7676.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-ipdg3E_sTrc/UW6UKqbbRqI/AAAAAAAACks/MGOyXBwlELU/s640/IMG_7677.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-siwBNNSpDVs/UW6UMIiEDUI/AAAAAAAACk4/3eLguq1CJJQ/s640/IMG_7678.JPG

As you can see in this picture lots and lots of wires were used to hold this figure in her place.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-lGZaRnVDJN0/UW6UNYZo8ZI/AAAAAAAAClA/I2gcPHE3tX4/s640/IMG_7679.JPG

I still can't believe she comes with an extra lower body...

Let's take a look at the figure - Body 1

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-1veaqCTFs8M/UW6UO_VwKFI/AAAAAAAAClQ/R5XTW3pJajI/s640/IMG_7681.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-hHHwsHhlPsc/UW6UQPZYwvI/AAAAAAAAClY/l--FK3sjjq8/s640/IMG_7682.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-dNK0Au5bgLA/UW6URrznt4I/AAAAAAAAClk/AYQ0Vjt5c4s/s640/IMG_7683.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-k8Yc3RSlRr8/UW6USoGyOpI/AAAAAAAACls/Z5P1SKdLoaA/s640/IMG_7684.JPG

The first body is a body in which Italia-san has taken off her swimsuit (making tanlines visible) and put on a shimapan (striped panty).

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-291geToOBQk/UW6USaPnxxI/AAAAAAAACl4/Lbib_qPsuzY/s640/IMG_7685.JPG

When you look up close, the tanlines are very good visible. I think it looks very cute! Her striped panties don't have the nicest quality paint, but it looks very good from a distance. I like that they put in the effort of the small detailing with the ribbon.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-2F45DBSkT4s/UW6UTdnvT8I/AAAAAAAACl0/-AiaAbvryjA/s640/IMG_7686.JPG

From the side, you can unfortunately see a lot of seamlines. Not only on her skin, but you can also see very well that her legs were glued onto her shimapan.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-70u3Knv0qS4/UW6UUZ02tdI/AAAAAAAACmA/NPPB_4IqdwI/s640/IMG_7687.JPG

The shimapan and the transition from her back to her tail look very good. The ribbon on her leg has also been carved out and is painted quite nicely.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-vBTCrQsFJvY/UW6UVAORCqI/AAAAAAAACmM/jcy23os_Sz8/s640/IMG_7688.JPG

On the left side you can see some seamlines, but overall it looks quite good!

Let's take a look at the figure - Body 2

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-b_XL5a77v_s/UW6UWK_oJBI/AAAAAAAACmY/Knl6SuRwfPI/s640/IMG_7689.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-7IuevuvMDvM/UW6UWysBmNI/AAAAAAAACmU/xDUzTouIu_U/s640/IMG_7690.JPG

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-qS3-Y3URtdM/UW6UYNGjOzI/AAAAAAAACmo/UGkZ_2gUxXk/s640/IMG_7691.JPG

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-HZO5hOlVCLA/UW6UY7RioVI/AAAAAAAACm0/6L47CG1d6Ms/s640/IMG_7692.JPG

With her second body, Italia-san wears a sukumizu (traditional Japanese school swimsuit) in a white colour.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-UtWFCWX9pVA/UW6UY4LTqmI/AAAAAAAACm4/PNoWUCTLDEY/s640/IMG_7693.JPG

You can see a few sewing-lines in the swimsuit. A nice detail, since the swimsuit overall is quite plain.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-j1_-7OS9Q6U/UW6UZ_C_EkI/AAAAAAAACm8/EqD0oPS3N-o/s640/IMG_7694.JPG

There are a few seamlines here, but way less visible than the seamlines on the other body.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-5CN9qEEZRok/UW6Ua4i4sOI/AAAAAAAACnM/Fsy5MMP_29Y/s640/IMG_7695.JPG

Her lower back has unfortunately a weird small "hole" around the tail. It fels to me like there should be a hole in her sukumizu there and they forgot to paint the skin colour around it. The transition from the sukumizu to her legs look very good!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-wJe5ie0yWw8/UW6Ubi8d9XI/AAAAAAAACnI/r9a65VcR-xU/s640/IMG_7696.JPG

The transition from her sukumizu to her legs is bit less here.

Looking at all the details!

(Please keep in mind that for her legs and feet, I'm only reviewing one body. This is because both bodies look too much alike to review those parts loose.)

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-_5hvBrmFJjk/UW6UeaWUlSI/AAAAAAAACnU/8mxOwX4S7u0/s800/IMG_7697.JPG

Let's start with her face! She has a very happy expression and nicely done eye decals, but the white paint for her eyes is on a too big surface. The painting inside her ears is a bit leaked out. At her neck she has a cute white ribbon which looks nicely detailed.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-80jNc1NiTpU/UW6UgjekAiI/AAAAAAAACng/b8mk5wk8X1Q/s800/IMG_7698.JPG

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-LOiaNXJRBzo/UW6UhD8SP5I/AAAAAAAACnk/n-bKkCech7I/s800/IMG_7699.JPG

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-XIGQb46furw/UW6Ujb6tteI/AAAAAAAACns/XUw5hyfjC40/s800/IMG_7700.JPG

Her hair has the same "effect" as MiG-60 ITEM #4716 . A lot of detailed, loose strands can be seen. It looks very nice. Her nekomimi (cat ears) also look very nicely shaped.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-PvIJTkY4KKk/UW6UlMXOlfI/AAAAAAAACn4/HCBBRFt0DBk/s800/IMG_7701.JPG

She wears a sailor uniform which has been tailored (or cut?) to be short. The scarf that's part of the uniform still has the regular size. The collar has nicely painted white stripes. The rest of her shirt doesn't have much details, but also no paint defects. Her left-arm sleeve does have a bit of a weird seamline though, but not very noticable.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-b_mOB0HGIOM/UW6Ul228njI/AAAAAAAACn8/zhjBzaxLdnM/s800/IMG_7702.JPG

On the back of her uniform you can see the white line that has been painted quite nicely. Unfortunately they forgot to paint the backside of her neck! It's completey white from the ribbon and up! Luckily I display her facing towards me, so I don't see anything of her neck.

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-u-Mq4e18-BU/UW6UodmXL6I/AAAAAAAACoE/WAp3ZZh0F14/s800/IMG_7703.JPG

Her fingers are nicely scuplted. A hole was made in her fist to hold the rope of the plane up. Unfortunately, it looked like they cut a bit too much of the plastic away, since quite some "scar" can be seen. The rope she is holding doesn't look like very high quality...

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-lICQdiSpF_s/UW6Up3Tn5wI/AAAAAAAACoM/cpyg9uw8yK4/s800/IMG_7704.JPG

Her other hand is a bit more of a mess when it comes to detailing and painting unfortunately.

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-TUr2YxXggXU/UW6UrCbbb3I/AAAAAAAACoc/svrQxlT4n8M/s800/IMG_7705.JPG

She has a very nicely detailed ribbon on her left leg. But something's weird is also going on here. From the ribbon and down her skin colour is much lighter. It gives me the feeling the ribbon is way too tight on and she has blood loss in her leg. But if we look back at Humikane's original drawing...

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1978201/re2200.jpg

...you can see that her left leg should be the same skin colour all over! So I think this is a painting defect.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-aTzvyFnsfnQ/UW6Urb70siI/AAAAAAAACog/pO7bQbFzUQQ/s640/IMG_7706.JPG

From the belt of her shoe and down her skin has the right colour again...

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-VUoNx27F9Tc/UW6Ut-F0MRI/AAAAAAAACow/7G_k0s7R7Cg/s640/IMG_7709.JPG

Her left leg luckily has the same painting all over and looks very good.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-vWckEXphOyI/UW6Ur8jSi2I/AAAAAAAACok/MdbGJ0uMa8A/s640/IMG_7707.JPG

From the backside you can see the stance of her legs very well. I think it's a cute pose and I love the shape of her legs! They look quite healthy.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-kr4raP8xIdU/UW6UttRk3iI/AAAAAAAACo0/t5BEq4nu5bw/s640/IMG_7708.JPG

The tail is made of a bit more flexible PVC, so you can easily bend it to stay in the shape you want!

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-rTD5hC8Nh4Q/UW6UwboV5HI/AAAAAAAACo8/usniFHEOYC0/s800/IMG_7710.JPG

And let's look at her...holy ****. Her...feet! The painting and the seamlines are quite horrible. Skin colour has leapt in between her toes, the Italian flag on her right foot is not centered, on her left foot her skin colour is in 2 diferent shades...and I can go on and on. The only positive point here is that the details on her feet, especially her toenails were better than I expected.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-5nxSDRiG59E/UW6UyqB4MlI/AAAAAAAACpI/wV9nsNZ5i5U/s800/IMG_7711.JPG

Looking from the side at it doesn't make it any better... Luckily the belt on top of her shoe looks very nicely detailed and well painted.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-0rD_K8isJKE/UW6UzSOhP0I/AAAAAAAACpM/NvXHfEr0kJs/s800/IMG_7712.JPG

The backside of her feet has more horrible spots where her skin colour was forgotten. Also, the seamlines in the shoes look even worse from this angle...

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-CQV1cUVVzbM/UW6U1uZ1kPI/AAAAAAAACpU/pVmOi7kC7tc/s800/IMG_7713.JPG

Well, let's try to forget about her feet...and look at her plane!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-NDtt3_Rba84/UW6U3pdt7vI/AAAAAAAACpg/eiK0uKCuBfE/s800/IMG_7714.JPG

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-FaPwvGVwJgI/UW6U4SLjxnI/AAAAAAAACpk/3jsQpL_r5XI/s800/IMG_7715.JPG

The two propellors can be moved freely around their axes, so you can choose how to display them. The plane itself has quite some nice detailing, of which most of them are traced with a darker colour brown paint. The transition between the bottom and top half of the colours is less nicely done.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/--voX-19PczQ/UW6U5ysbW5I/AAAAAAAACps/4dwzitJvQD8/s800/IMG_7716.JPG

The plane itself has an semi-transparent cockpit and you can see the seats inside. Very nice detail!

https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/-XBUF2tNavsU/UW6U9VKjvOI/AAAAAAAACp0/CrXdx7h7DVE/s800/IMG_7717.JPG

The detailing here is quite nicely done, except for the brown spot just on the bottom right of the cockpit. It reminds me of my Garage Kit painting when I tried to use a special type of detailing oils once. It also didn't work at my figure back then...

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-0ugJn_V26NQ/UW6U-B0F0NI/AAAAAAAACp8/lIqaXgnZXqk/s800/IMG_7718.JPG

Since the plane is too heavy for Italia-san to completely lift it, a transparent base is needed to hold it up. (Italia-san would probably become a huge forward leaner without it.) A bit of the white/grey paint of the plane has leaked onto the base, but overall the painting here has been done quite well.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-Miv95-E3PII/UW6U_WksHaI/AAAAAAAACqE/fG-6cXFXL9I/s800/IMG_7719.JPG

Let's take a moment of silence to admire the detailing.

https://lh5.googleusercontent.com/-k9u-zmYVseg/UW6VDW7BjnI/AAAAAAAACqU/_3qNJEms7x0/s800/IMG_7723.JPG

Italia-san's base is a simple yellow base, not too big, not too small. The base itself tells the name of her (fictional) plane and it's function in the war. It also shows a small logo right of it.

https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-TxTsKB8xtXk/UW6VD4iy17I/AAAAAAAACqc/hDyRdo7Cznw/s800/IMG_7724.JPG

The extra support the plane needs is connected to the base with a small hole. It doesn't ask too much of your attention.

Summary or tl;dr

Positive
- Very special box, with the cover opening.
- Extra art book.
- Comes with 2 bodies!
- Nicely detailed hair.

Neutral
- A few seamlines, but overall quite acceptable.
- Extra support for her plane. It doesn't look very nice, but it's necessary so Italia-san doesn't become a leaner.

Negative
- They forgot to paint the backside of her neck!
- Bottom half of her left leg is a way lighter skin colour.
- The painting on her feet and shoes...unbelievable.

The Scores

Sculpting 7/10
Italia-san comes with quite some positive sculpting points, such as her hair and the plane she is holding. Unfortunately quite some horrible mistakes were made, especially at her feet.

Painting 7/10
There are quite some painting mistakes, one part of her leg that has the wrong skin colour really stands out. Her feet are also not very nice. They forgot to paint a part of her neck. But there are also very good points of how the painting went, her face, tanlines and hair for example. I had a hard time coming up with the good grade for her painting.

Posing 8/10
Her posing is very simple, but oh-so-cute! She is showing off her plane with an adorable smile.

Base 7/10
It's small, it has all the basics, but nothing special.

Packaging 9/10
The extra cover which can be opened and the room/blisters the figure has are amazing. Overall the box looks great, the only reason it's not a 10/10 is because there isn't room for the artbook to be in the box (causing it to damage).

Extra - The artbook 9/10

It had more text and less drawings than expected, but it is an very cool extra with never before seen artwork of Humikane Shimada!

Enjoyment 9/10
I am a huge Mecha-Musume and Humikane Shimada-fan and I found her for a good price. What's not to enjoy? Well okay...maybe a bit of her detailing *cough* feet *cough*.

And to finish it!
Here is how she stands in my current collection! She's in my small Mecha Musume shrine!

https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-hnBT3mZONic/UU2QGcMLXbI/AAAAAAAACaY/KSoK6u8f53M/s800/IMG_8113.JPG

I included a small poll at the bottom. Soon I will receive Mecha Musume Me 109E-3, the last girl of this set. A review about this figure is already available on MFC, so I was wondering if there is still interest in me writing this review. Please let your vote know!

For those who read all this way, Thank you! My next article will not be a review, but a guide about risers, since lots and lots of MFC-users seem to have questions about them. I hope to finish it up in a few weeks!

And for the people that also liked my wip/tutorials of my Garage Kits, I'm sorry to say that you have to wait a little longer! ^^'' I recently finished a GK and I'm entering it in a competition! Which means that I can't post any pictures online, so the wait is a little longer!

I currently have no plans on seeking this Re.2200 nor the K-100 girl.. ;) but who knows..
Indeed, it would be nice to see Tank Witches in Strike Witches anime although they've been part of the canon.. Major Cecilia Miles one of Hanna's acquaintances in Africa is a Tank witch, and so is Charlotte plus other Tank Witches.. =D

I only reccomend you that if you see one of them for a good deal...you should go for it since they don't show up that much!!!

I would love it if the Tank Witches could get their own anime. With battlefields on the ground instead of in the air! :3

VioFitz7 anno/i fa#1538333Ah... When you mentioned about the defect painting on her left leg, I was somehow thinking/imagining that she's like wearing a stocking on her left leg...

Yeah, it's such a weird defect! It looks like a stocking or a weird tanline...I have no idea how this went wrong, since in the original art her legs have the same colour all over and for some reason her feet are her right skin colour again! D:

pauldy7 anno/i fa#1525247Before anything else... I think you're not done until you get the very last of the Toranoana Humikane Shimada Mecha Musume ... The Ki-100(?) ^^; hahaha
The last entry of this series... probably having the worst quality of the four plane girls... and possibly, the hardest to find....
Anyway..
This is a great in depth review. Re.2200 large version was one of my regrets.. I saw one back in '08.. had enough money to buy her but somehow I didn't.. X__X bad decision..
But I guess I'm quite satisfied considering I have two versions of her..
I wonder what would happen to the strap Italia-san uses to hold her unit? MiG-60's strap practically disintegrated over time. Albeit their straps were made of same materials.. :(
I guess this figure's overall quality is good considering it was released 6 years ago^^
Somehow, I wished Humikane would give her a name and put her in Strike Witches, serving the Romagna Reggia Aeronautica. I like her more than Francesca Lucchini =D
Lastly, I would like to see you do an in-depth review of BF109-E. We need more Mecha Musume love XD

Hello!

Sorry for my late response! xD I did read your review in the meantime though, and left a comment! ^^

And I completely forgot the Ki-100. How stupid of me! X.X Probably because she is so immensely rare and I never see her for sale or hear someone about her.... :<

So yes, then she is the only one missing of the scaled Mecha Musume girls! (After that it's time for all the small trading figures!!!)

Are you planning of buying/finding Ki-100, Pauldy? ^^

And thank you! I know I'm quite slow when it comes to writing and uploading new reviews, but it's because I want it to be as in depth as possible! >.< So I'm glad others like it! ^^

Oh wow, you didn't buy her back then! D: She is very nice looking at the age the figure is and she looks very much like Humikane's original design! And you get 2 bodies to choose from!!!

She sometimes pops up at AmiAmi pre-owned, so I think that's your best guess at the moment! She isn't that expensive if you can find her, probably around 2000-4000 yen (ex. shipping).

Her trading figures are also very cute! I especially like her Chinese Dress version! >w< Such nice colours!

Well I'm quite afraid of Italia-san's strap. It looks lower quality than MiG-60's, and after hearing your story of MiG's strap... x.x But VictorViper commented below that his strap looks better quality, so maybe I'm just unlucky? (I did buy her in a sealed box though, so it couldn't be because of the previous owner...)

Haha, I think many Strike Witches fans will agree with you! xD Lots and lots of them seem to don't like Lucchini! xD I think Lucchini's looks are very cute, but her personality is quite annoying!

Humikane's designs I would love to see the most in animated forms are:

and

(I can dream, right?)

>w< And let's spead the Mecha Musume Love! \>o</\^o^/

My review of BF109-E can take a while since I also have lots and lots and lots of other figures (and pictures on my hard disk) piled up here to make reviews from! xD

Before anything else...

We need more Mecha Musume love XD

victorviper7 anno/i fa#1515409Of the Toranoana figures, Me 109 is the only one that I don't have. She also seems to be the hardest one to find; you can still find Mig-60 and Re2200 new at various retailers, but Me 109 only seems to show up on the secondary market. That review you mentioned is pretty minimal; there are no pictures of the figure itself, the box, or anything else.

Yes, it seems like Me 109E is the hardest one to get. I was quite lucky with finding her. I saw her on AmiAmi at C/C condition and asked the helpdesk what her state was, they said they couldn't look at the figure so I was a bit scared of ordering her (since she could be missing parts). So I let her go...two days later another one popped up at B/B condition, which I ended up ordering from them! I received her not very long ago and the box looks like a supergood condition (defenitely an A), I haven't opened the figure yet, so I can't say anything about Me 109E herself.

If I write a review of her, it would of course be accompanied with lots of pictures! :) I have no idea how much people like the other review of her with full text (it gives quite some info, but nothing visual). But I think with "today's standards" of reviews, it is very minimal indeed.

Thank you!

Maakie7 anno/i fa#1515327 I want to make sure first that people are interested in it, since a review about her (without pictures) is already available on MFC.

victorviper7 anno/i fa#1515314Another nice review. When I saw the artwork of the Ba75, I also said "that's Lynette!".
After reading this review, I inspected my Italia-san for the defects you mentioned. The painting issue on the feet is there, but the transition from the rest of her body to the tail seems a bit better, and the strap holding the plane is in better shape. I guess I was lucky...
I'd love to see a review of Me 109E, especially to see what all the box artwork looks like.

Thanks for your comment and liking my review! ^^

I think I also got unlucky with her strap. Since my MiG-60 has the same type of strap, but her strap looks much cleaner: PICTURE #684297

Me 109E is the only one of the set you don't have right? I'm pretty sure about wanting to do a review of her, but I want to make sure first that people are interested in it, since a review about her (without pictures) is already available on MFC.
