Commenti After Colony 195 (Introduction)

  • I have to agree with you completely, the 1/144 Wing kits seem to have much sturdier joints. I recently fixed the hip joints on Zero, cuz he likes to do the splits and knock stuff off my shelf! (Not good!) But one thing I've found that helps immensely is painting. After a couple coats of primer, then paint, it makes everything fit much more snug, so that being the case, I've decided to go ahead and fully paint Deathscythe, alongside my personal step-by-step method for painting and detailing. I doubt I'll use him for a weathering/battle damage tutorial, I like to keep my Gundams clean. I tend to only rough up grunt suits loldarkrose6 anno/i fa#1923995Was not too pleased with the HG 1/100 quality as I have problems like "weak" joints: Heavyarms cannons are too heavy, Wing Zero Custom unable to hold the Twin Buster Riffle straight and cannot mimic the wing poses in the box, D-Hell unable to grip the scythe tightly etc. Surprisingly I find that 1/144 are easier to pose than 1/100.
    Looking forward to a review of Wing Zero Custom MG or PG first before deciding to buy one.

    Kromert6 anno/i fa#1923147Personally, I'd highly recommend it, especially if you haven't built one in a while! The Master Grades are simply amazing nowadays. Alas, I've yet to get any of the Wing MG's (Just have 1/100 and 1/144 HG's at the moment) but I really want to add Wing Zero Custom to the collection. (My SD version does not do that amazing suit justice.) Anyway, whatever you decide, best of luck!

    I'd like to think anyone who's ever seen Wing is a fanatic, how could you not be?! Lol. It's definitely a great hobby, but once you start building them it's tough to quit! If you ever want any tips or tricks, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm hella jealous of your PG Wing Zero, that is really a work of art. I'm still building up the skill to tackle a 1/60, I'm afraid I'd screw it up somehow!Keripo6 anno/i fa#1922959Another Gundam Wing fan(atic) here o/
    I've actually yet to finish building any of my kits other than a 1/144 Deathscythe Hell Custom, still have my PG Wing Zero Custom, MG Deathscythe Hell Custom and MG Epyon waiting to be opened >_<
    Eventually... ---> PICTURE #443855

Decided not to buy anymore Gundam although the new Gundam Wing MG are so tempting. After reading your post, the temptation to "re-new" my Gundam collections just grow bigger!

    Thanks a lot! And no, I've yet to build a Real Grade, I've meant to snag one recently but I always either go down and get a HG or go up and get a MG lol. But I'l definitely give it a try!
    And I'd be happy to post a tutorial on the process, I have a 1/100 Deathscythe I'm going to build tomorrow or Wednesday, and I'd be happy to do a step by step!
    Thanks again for stopping by!

    If you haven't picked up a RG kit yet, (the 1/144 scale ones), I highly recommend it to any gundam builder. The technology and kit design is very different and intricate from the other grades, and it doesn't cost you a fortune to get them.I agree Bandai has done a superb job recently with their kits.

    I would love to see a tutorial by you on your building process and such, and welcome to MFC.
