A very beautiful figure, wonderful shading and dynamic pose and looks brilliant in person. Really good quality and size for the price and lots of little details too (also fits into an IKEA cabinet but not by much lol). :)
While the glaive was a bit of a hassle to slot in, (essentially it's in two parts which you slot together), it takes a bit of patience but i didn't experience any paint transfer or damage from it.
I am so happy with this figure and definitely recommend it to anyone wanting a badass Asuka figure :)

Unfortunately I don't really have a camera good enough to pick up the details that you likely want. There are big changes that you can see on the pictures on here. Her bangs are different, they do cover her face a bit but looks good. And her eye patch actually looks like a eye patch this time instead of more painted on. I can't tell if the body sculpt is more defined or if it's just really good shading.
If you're on the fence about getting her go ahead and get her. she is a great figure. Especially for the price. What I mostly prefer of the older one is the box and the blister packet, better quality.

Now finally having both figures in front of me. I can't really say of which one is better. There are aspects of both figures that I prefer over the other. I guess time will tell
