Shikaree (5 giorno/i fa) #24573122As for why I'm defending them... I'm not defending them so much as I'm saying complaints about them make no sense - you might as well argue grass should be blue instead of green. They are a part of sell side market depth. It is natural to have companies like Solaris Japan and Plamoya, and they serve a purpose in maintaining market stability.

I buy from Solaris and Plamoya, they both are good company and I don't mind their price at all :) if you really love something then price should not matter :) and also it can be a hard item to come by which they got already :)

Kapotth (2 giorno/i fa) #24700154Do we get a release date soon or more likely another delay?

It's Phat and the first delay was 2 months. I'd be SHOCKED if there wasn't another delay.

Shikaree (6 giorno/i fa) #24544144Doubt they can actually run a profitable business doing that. Those margins are not big enough for a used goods reseller. You can try it. And of course, any proof?
Regarding a proof - the proof is the countless stories of people receiving clearly used products from them. There is no way that a new product will have dust and scratches on the base, paint transfer and scuffs, and so on. It can only be a used item that the store selling as new, but the man responsible for checking the state of the stuff they purchase fell asleep.

Regarding inflated pricing - I wasn't complaining about their pricing. They have every right to charge as much as they want. However, tell what you sell. I complained about selling used goods as new, which is not OK at any selling standards.

Regarding stock availability - I doubt that Solaris and Plamoya have more stock than AmiAmi, HobbySearch, and HLJ, but what a wonder - even when the latter are all sold out, the former always have some in stock...

Edit - also your stock claim does not hold regarding preorders, as there actually is no stock.

Azaizer (5 giorno/i fa) #24562820It amazes me as to why you're defending their bullshit inflated prices? What you work for them or something? It's one thing to price based on the market...it's another to outright charge prices that are just daylight robbery. I have bought from Solaris before and sometimes their prices can be fair and sometimes they can just be downright ridiculous. I'd never touch Plamoya though. Their prices are ALWAYS higher than almost everyone else out there and this is even just prior to release or sell-out of popular pre-order items just so they can profit from it more.
As much you might think they are trying to be fair or doing us collector's favors by giving us "options" they really really aren't. Everyone is in it to make money, just some can be money grubby scumbags more than others.

Edit: Wrong person, my bad.

What they charge is up to them. If they charge too much, they'll go out of business. Since they're not out of business, I guess there are some people who think their prices are fair and are willing to pay. Ergo, they are giving people options. Whether they are "money grubby scumbags" or not is completely irrelevant.

Edit: Lemme edit out this line too, apologies.
