Toyo (5 giorno/i fa) #41746181Man this figure looks absolutely gorgeous and combines so many favorite aesthetics of mine into one.
But I know nothing about Card Captor Sakura and frankly, I'm not interested in getting to know about it either...
Do you guys think it's like, "morally acceptable" to want / buy a figure simply for appreciating its artistry??

Personally I usually buy figures I know but that's my own thought since otherwise I'd be buying stuff left and right. I don't see anything wrong with getting a figure you like if you can and if you think you won't regret getting it. In my opinion this Yue figure is just gorgeous enough to be worth it.

tomocchi (4 giorno/i fa) #41785805Personally I have quite a few figures of characters/shows I know nothing about. And I think that‘s totally fine! As long as you really like it, go for it. There‘s nothing bad or wrong about getting a figure just for looks. :)Dunizel (5 giorno/i fa) #41750012Of course.
Some collect only figures of characters they have some emotional attachment with, but in many cases people just buy figures because they simply like them aesthetically. Personally, I am a bit in the middle. I usually buy figures I like of characters I know of, but there have been exceptions of figures I found so beautiful that I bought even knowing next to nothing about their origin. It's a hobby, at the end of the day we buy what we like, and everyone will have a slightly different reason. I agree that artistically this is a very beautiful piece, it's perfectly acceptable to want to admire it in your collection :)

Thanks so much for your input guys! You're totally right, in the end all that matters is that I'm happy with what I buy : )
