Sciroppo (1 anno/i fa) #18358903As expected another company announced a 2B figure
Expected? You know that she is a Square Enix character, right?
It's a goddamn miracle, the only thing expected was a PAK.

Holy shit. SQ actually licensed their stuff to something other than Play Arts?

Everyone should be asking this question instead of the neck length as it looks fine to me. why haven't they told what the size of this figure and what is this figure made out of. They should of told us by now and the materials and size since it been painted plus this should determined the price. But they properly are not done designing this figure. I hope this figure is not another Bayonetta price from flare and They just plan to surprise us with her mega price by adding extremely fancy things that raise the price very high

i wish they would pull a surprise and make a base where the Virtuous Treaty (heavy sword) floats behind her :P

...but Flare will be probably a neutral base with maybe her art silhouette/logo on it (atleast thats how there last ones were if i remember right)

Part of me wants her.
The other part just got a little sad 'cause they still have the pose I would have preferred on the title card behind her. xD

silentwinter91 (1 giorno/i fa) #31177877No reason to shit on mitsumasa at all, his sculpts are on the more rigid side which goes well with her robotic nature.
Not to mention a lot of his previous sculpts have been wildly popular.

Except, he is known for making tiny anti-butts. 2b is wildly popular, in part, due to her bootay. It was all over the place when the game was released.

IMO, she looks a lot way better now that she's fully painted, and i really like the semi-monochromatic coloring. The 'odd elements' (whatever that is, which may include the controversial long neck) intended by the designer is making me want this more. Surely, it's a first hour PO for me.

Heiros (1 giorno/i fa) #31177347I think individuals in this community can get a little too obsessed into the details in statues sometimes, to the point that they forget the characters own oddities and flaws that the figure aims to emulate. Just finished playing the game on route A (paid special attention to the neck, since people griped about it so much here), and her neck really is long and does look that odd in certain cinematic angles. I own NieR: Automata for a long time, but I only started playing it more intensely recently (just started the third run now) and after seeing so many complaints about the neck I'm glad that I'm not the only one that thinks her neck in this figure looks exactly like her 3D model in the game.

Heiros (1 giorno/i fa) #31177347 I wondered what the features were, when I first read it, but since individuals are just hammering on the neck here, I believe that was one of them. Especially since most people complaining, never noticed it. All according to the character modelers plan. Haha I guess people were too busy trying to position the camera under her skirt while playing the game... (not me of course... :P)

I remember reading an interview by the character modeler once, that they purposely put in an odd flaw to 2B,

"
I first thought about what the charm of the model from that previous title was. After studying it, I realised there’s a fragile beauty to it, a doll-like form that feels like it could easily break.

Based on this, I’ve included odd elements to the 2B model in a way it wouldn’t be immediately noticeable. I won’t say more, but the model looks more beautiful with a dash of oddity.

Anyways, glad to see it painted, but I was somehow more excited for it, when it wasn't finished.. maybe it's because I already got some pretty great 2B stuff from unofficial artists, from her classical statue bust made by Graphesium, to the super poseable phicen figure in combination with the "cosplay" outfit made of her by Super Duck... but I would still like something of her that IS official..
