to those that don't know the difference between how a resin figure and a pvc looks like I think you should look it up since there is a huge difference. Yes it's static but the texture, shading and colours are superb no can be serious when they say otherwise lol
Another point, to be fair, spike would be captured best in a cool static pose like this I think, since that's spike's character. It's not supposed to be dynamic. It's not supposed to be 1/6 either because this is F4F not megahouse or koto....
Anyway if it was for 300 USD it would have been very reasonable for what you get.

Personally, I would have preferred it to be a 1/6; price would've been about 1/3 cheaper. Also, I imagine 52 cm in heigh will be an issue for many people, almost an inconvenience.
But despite all of that, I might end up getting it; I don't understand the criticism directed at the face or the pose; I think they are spot on.
You don't need to make a dynamic, bombastic-Tsume-HQS+ figure to impress. Sometimes simplicity and minimalism can produce masterpieces.

ilasja (7 mese/i fa) #37636275Looks bad, Todd.
To clarify myself:
this figure is $350. the shading is minimal. detailing is minimal but there is some. overall the figure is incredibly minimal and lackluster In My Opinion. while that appeals to some people it doesn't appeal To Me. granted it's a prototype and not coming out for over a year so it could be improved but as it stands there's nothing to justify the $350 price tag when the average 1/4 scale (one with a simple base, like FREEing ones) run between $180-$250

This is made out of Polystone and not PVC which is why it costs more than a 1/4 FREEing figure.

aurybq (7 mese/i fa) #37650810I think he looks good. But it's pretty plain and boring. I prefer koto's.

Yeah I was carefully following the development of this but for a 350 dollar price tag it's just rather generic looking I can't really bite, especially with how pretty the Koto figure was. Not to mention the space issues this figure would bring.

I don’t think it’s because it genuinely looks horrible, but it isn’t all that great for that price tag. Spike is a very expressive and dynamic character. You’d think they would take advantage of that.. like the dude is a sick fighter and is like the Bruce Lee of sci-fi anime. They could also have done a more melancholy pose with him holding roses, as shown in the anime.

Would seem more meaningful than him poking the air.
