As much as I'd like Fable 4, I'm really hoping they come out with some new exclusives and not just new games for their existing ones.
Also hoping the online thing isn't true. Was that ever debunked?

I think it was confirmed but the decision was up to the publishers. But who knows, they could of changed it, we'll know for sure soon. And yeah xbox needs some exclusives REAL bad imo =_=

I'm not watching the stream, but no matter what, we'll probably get one. We JUST bought a PS3 so getting a 4 so soon seems silly. So our next gen console will probably be the xBox. We like the achievement system over the trophy system anyway. Well, I hope they're keeping the achievement system. :/

What's so bad about Fable..? :c

Eh, not too excited about it. But then again, I'm not excited for PS4 either. We'll get one or the other on release, we're just not sure which. It will completely depend on the initial game lineup. (Which is why we STILL haven't gotten a Wii U. The games don't justify the amount on the console -.-; )

    Disappointed as fuck.

    Fees to play used games.
    Forced kinect requirement.

Both deal breakers to me. This is ridiculous its like they don't even care about actual gamers anymore. I really don't get the whole used game stuff, are these people not rich enough already? Are businesses as big as EA and stuff getting hurt by used games?

Heres and idea. Make shit good that people want, then you can make fuck tons of sales.

Get rid of On disc/day1 dlc, used game fees and shit, and stop forcing us to do/need ANYTHING, the gaming industry is constantly growing and will continue to do so. Its grown into the success that it is now without that shit. I know i'm not alone when I feel I don't want to play consoles/games that do this kinda stuff.

As for me, I hate all this tv and music crap. I watch tv in the living room (Well, I would if I watched tv), I have all my music on my comp right here, inches away from my xbox. Same for browsing the internet. My xbox is for games and that's all I want it for. Not that I expected them to remove all the extra crap. I didn't watch much of it because I didn't feel good. Either way, I'm in no rush so I'll prolly wait for a price drop at some point.

Atomsk7 anno/i faFees to play used games.

Just to clarify, you only have to pay a fee to play it on a second account. Which still confuses me. If my husband installs it and plays it on his account, then he logs out of his account and I log in, does that mean I'll have to pay to play it despite both our accounts being on the same hardrive? How can the console tell the difference between new and used games? I guess to get around paying a fee, we'd only be buying one new game a month. Won't make a dent in Microsoft's wallet but oh well.

    Second acc, or second xbox.

From what I understand just like the system now, its tied to your gamertag and the Xbox it was purchased on.

If you share the same Xbox then yea, you can play without buying it. Youll only have to pay the fee if its on a different Xbox and gamertag.

Thanks! While I'm still not overly excited, at least that has calmed that fear. Now to wait for more info. I wish gaming consoles were just that though. I'm tired of companies making products that do a million and a half things. I've got a TV, I've got an iPod, I don't need that on my gaming console.

    *nods* Fair enough. :3

I wish there could be an option to make it just for gaming. :/ Still not excited, and will definitely wait for price drops before I even consider it. I was so excited too.

My favorite part was when he said there were going to be 15 exclusive games coming out, and half of them were new titles..which means that the other half aren't, which means that maybe I'll really be getting that Fable 4 :D

Wait, was this confirmed during the presentation? Did I miss something?
edit: Just read the article -_- It's not even backwards compatible!

WHOA WHOA WHOA STOP THE FUCKING PRESSES

I just read an article, written today, that said the unlock fee would be the retail price of the game, so they're forcing you to just buy a new one. If this is 100% true, we will not be buying the new Xbox for a few years. Maybe even never. Although another article said Sony might be trying to do something similar. Disgusting. Microsoft, you are dead.

I'm personally not against forced Kinect requirement nor do I care about backwards compatibility. But that, just no.

This is getting ridiculous. If Sony isn't implementing the same changes, then Microsoft has shot themselves in the foot big time.

Oh definitely. My hubby said "I don't care if we just bought a PS3, we'll just get a PS4". Although a friend ranted at me that Microsoft hasn't said anything official yet, but I'm sure they'll try to stomp out used games no matter what. Of course I did read that Sony and Microsoft are standing together on this subject. I just, I want to support them, I really do, but gaming is going to be a rich man's game soon.

Honestly I am enraged by this my girlfriend is the biggest Xbox loyalist I know and she doesn't even have internet. I am the kind of person who is paranoid of monitoring, and that what this whole scheme is for with the online only. I don't like motion control let alone a camera looking at me let alone looking in the same direction to where I get down.

    Pros
    friends list
    solid controller
    easily navigable dash
    servers
play games while installing (I will probable not do this for efficiency purposes)

    Crap I don't give a damn about
    voice, trends, tv, etc.
    smart glass

    Cons
    online
    Kinect
    HDD
    Backwards compatibility

    THE WORST PART
The used game possibility I'm sorry I don't buy games new let alone anything 95% of the 500 games I own I bought used, same with everything manga, comics, dvd, vhs, laserdisc, you name it I buy almost nothing new except for figures. I am sorry Microsoft but your going to fuck small businesses and Gamestop(a good thing i hate Gamestop) I hate buying games new that 60-70 dollars is no different than the 150-350 dollars I would have had to dish out in the 90's for AES games it is a crime to disallow used games it hurts the lower middle class like myself.

WindsorSeven7 anno/i faAlso hoping the online thing isn't true. Was that ever debunked?

You need to be online every 24 hours to play a game is what it's currently stated as. If you no internet or sorry internet, XBox One would be virtually unplayable.

mintbunny7 anno/i faJust to clarify, you only have to pay a fee to play it on a second account. Which still confuses me. How can the console tell the difference between new and used games? I guess to get around paying a fee, we'd only be buying one new game a month. Won't make a dent in Microsoft's wallet but oh well.

From what I understand is that the games are linked to an account, so if your family has different accounts or gives the disc to someone else to play, they will have to pay for it regardless if it's the same XBox or not. It's not actually tied to the XBox itself. The console will be able to tell because the disc will have some kind of "key" and the console then goes online to the servers to the account that's logged in (no doubt you'll have to log in for each game) and sees if that "key" has been used. If so and it doesn't match, you gotta pay. It does match, you won't even need the disk because the games install on the harddrive. That's where one of the needs for the internet comes in. Have no internet? Can't play games as the games need to be verified AND installing/installed before you can play. Coupled with the Kinect being able to read your every mood and watching you all the time and being the actual controller, this sounds one of the worst consoles ever made.

They say you'll be able to "trade" the digital games, but it'll be done through Microsoft and no doubt cost more money. But, I hope you don't have any XBLA games because those aren't backwards compatible either which means you'll have to buy EVERY game, physical or digital over again IF they are imported over. That's so ridiculous that I hated it when Sony did it and Microsoft doesn't even have an excuse.

XBox One is for TV (porn, Call of Duty, NFL, and Pizza Hut optional). Definitely not a gaming console as shown here: www.youtube.com...

Okay, that makes sense so far. But I guess I'll stop raging until they say something 'officially', although I'm not expecting anything different than what has been predicted.

What does this mean exactly? We have a wireless internet that is on 24/7, but I don't remember the last time we turned our xBox on (been watching stuff on the Playstation). So what happens if you go a few days without turning it on?
