Hello guys so I'm new to all this. I just bought a Banpresto C.C. made with ABS PVC and now I am making a custom case for her from Mica. Now to the question, does the case needs a 'breathing' hole? I read all various wierd things about PVC. So my question is it okay if the figure is totally closed in or should I make a small hole for her to breath? Thanks in advance!

Hello Khazak welcome to the club also sorry for the late reply. It kind of depends on how long you plan on keeping your figure in the casing. IF you plan to keep it in there for more then a year I would recommend you add holes. Most figures after a period of time will start to collect a film on them so its always a good idea to clean them periodically and keep them away from harsh heat / sunlight.

We dont want this to happen to your figure xD. Click the spoiler lol

Okay question I want to make a japanese room for my nendoroids / any room in general
should i get sylvanian families house? or a diorama for 1/12 dolls or make my own. I don't really know what to do.~

    ( ̄^ω^ ̄)
Please send invoices to me earlier so I can pay them on time. I have a tendency to forget things so please just send me a reminder and I will try my best to get the money on time!

1/12 is perfect for figmas, but Sylvanian families is the right size for Nendoroids so go with Sylvanian Families. I have some pictures of the size if you want to see. Making your own is super fun though and there are some great tutorials on here.

First I was terrified then the unstoppable laugh came, thanks for that! I just added one hole on the back of the case. My warmest gratitude :).

Hello OtomeLoveYou! Sorry for replying so late. Busy with work.
For making dioramas you can start with something simple at first maybe using a cardboard box as structure and then painting it, then getting the accessories for the room (like tables, chairs, cupboards, tv, etc).
Check these great tutorials by Nendoroidoodads>>
Making Japanese doors ---> BLOG #22420
    Japanese diorama ---> BLOG #22177
Another japanese diorama ---> BLOG #22030

Here's another tutorial of a Japanese diorama (by me), keep in mind this one could be more complicated>>
Japanese Diorama for nendoroids ---> BLOG #21101

I agree with StephieHerbert, Sylvanian Families work PERFECT with nendoroids size but keep in mind that the furniture designs of this company are more western instead of traditional japanese. You can check AmiAmi they sell Sylvanian Houses there as well :)
I hope this information helps you

Hey guys - what material do you use for long-lasing props if:

    - There is no foamcore
    - There is no balsa wood or thin wood

EXCEPT for ordinary cardboard. Cardbord is cool especially then there are five-six and more glued together layers of thin one, transformed in hard structure you can sand down for a better look.

I'm asking this because I got only hardboard to work on my furniture(sturdy, heavy, nice texture) after I couldn't find thin wood sheets or foamcore aviable in out town at all.

I wanted to use PS/GIMP to put a backdrop in photos, since i cant get good scenery around my area >_<
Sorry about the late response, anyways what type of scenery are you trying to make?

Something grassy or like in a field of grass or nice sky feel, those are backdrops that would fit the "helping" theme in my photo ^_^
Dont worry if you are late ^_^ we all have busy lives and besides reality is more important than the forums ^_^

I usually just google what im looking for and print it out or drag it in PS. At my local paper/craft store you can by special paper that is fuzzy and looks like grass ^^

I think you would be surprised what you can make things look like outside! I take all mine in my tiny back yard :p

Condominium is a hard life ^_^ not much scenery but concrete jungle

lol well you can always get that industrial look with a condominium setting. Im currently working on your question.

haha hope you can find a solution to my question :P and thanks for helping me aswell

if your feeling extra creative you could try this sort of thing looks nicer than photoshop ^^ twitter.com/tok...

Those are stuff used for architecture models and they are rather expensive here. >.<
Though it'll look very good if you use those. ^.^

Yea really too damn expensive >_< and I am searching high an low for Alisa Ilihichina Amiella Nendoroid >_<

Anyways theres two ways to make a outside diorama. You can either draw out the scenery and layer them to form some depth or you can buy artificial model grass and get fake or real pants for the background.

Its always a good idea to use whatever you have around. Simple blank paper can make for a suitable background, you just need to be creative :3
Example I decided to make lol.

Apoxy, Sculpey, Air Dry Clay, written in the order of strongest efficiency/hardness to weakest.
If you have the right shape already, you could try learning to use a silicon molding/casting kit to make it into a single hard plastic item.

I'm just wondering, but for people who make their custom nendoroids, do you go out of the way to make every single article on the nendoroid detachable as well? For example, the head can come apart so you can still mix and match with other nendoroids?

Out of serious tedious molding/casting, I made the back of the head of my Pearl (steven universe) nendoroid a single piece of detachable plastic that has the same skeleton as the GSC brand (so you can replace the front hair piece and headplate easily), but I'm just thinking 'no way, not everyone does this, right?'
a little clip of what I'm talking about: instagram.com/p...

Same with clothes and props--does your nendoroid still move when you decorate the clothes?

Wow, you put a lot of effort into that hair piece!

But to answer, I myself do not make it so that I can swap out faceplates. My main reason for choosing to customize nendos is more for the shape and size than the swap/and pose aspect. While my last two custom nendos are fixed pose (except the heads can be removed), the others I have planned I am working to make them more poseable, though their faces will still not be interchangeable. So I'm kinda half and half.

    But that's just me haha.

I have a question! I'd like to use the custom base I made, but I don't have double sided tape at home right now. Is there anything I need to pay attention to when buying it? Or any brand that you would recommend? I don't know much about plastic, so I'm not sure what would work best.

Budget says no to adhesive stickers, so I'll go see what kinds of removable double sided tape I can find. Thanks!
